Come, to your hometown.
Surrounded by deep green mountains, nestled in the village of Hinohara in Okutama, lies the Kabutoya Ryokan Hotel, known for its legends of exiled individuals from the Nanboku-cho Period.
The name "Kabutoya" originates from the main house built in the style of a samurai helmet, boasting a history of 300 years. The sturdy pillars and thatched roof have always watched over the warm gatherings of people. Everywhere in this hotel, the kindness of our ancestors is felt, so please relax here as if you have returned to your hometown for a moment.
The main building features luxurious rooms and a large hall, while the new building offers spacious interconnected rooms with a hearth. Additionally, we have prepared hot springs with views of the mountain stream. For meals, we make ample use of mountain delicacies such as wild vegetables, river fish, and wild boar, allowing you to savor the flavors of the season. In particular, the new building offers charcoal-grilled dishes at the hearth side. Furthermore, we have a selection of 20 renowned Japanese sake brands from across the country. Why not explore your preferred flavor alongside our cuisine?
The murmuring of the river, the chirping of birds, the warmth of the trees. Things that had been forgotten somehow exist here. We hope to become the "hometown" that comes to mind when you are suddenly tired. Please feel free to stop by for a stay in Okutama, or for a meal during a stroll.
